Get Ready for What’s Next with a Growth Mindset

May 14, 2021 Jamie Notter

Imagine you could go back to 2019 and draw a line across the middle of a blank page. On the top half of that page, above the line, you’d write down things that you felt you had a high degree of certainty about. Below the line, you could write down issues or areas that felt uncertain. Then imagine that page changing, day by day in 2020, with more and more moving below the line each and every day.

We have all done a tremendous job at adapting over the last year. Many of us have even used this crisis as an opportunity to pivot and create new things. But as we enter the middle of 2021, I think we’re all still faced with an iceberg-like ratio between certain and uncertain, with the uncertain lurking dangerously below the surface.

With so much uncertain, I think the task of leadership is changing at its core. Today’s environment is asking different things of us as leaders, and I don’t think we can rely on the pre-2020 playbook as much as we used to. If you want to forge ahead with confidence in today’s world you need to set yourself up for success by building a “growth mindset.”

This isn’t just an attitude—it’s a skillset that stretches from personal to organizational. It’s an approach to leadership that understands and acknowledges that thriving in today’s environment requires innovation, speed, and boldness at levels you may not be used to.

To help you get ready, Maddie and I have created a 3-week online Bootcamp for cultivating your growth mindset. It starts on Monday, June 7. The first week focuses on you as an individual, and then we move to the team level in week 2 and the organizational level in week 3. Much of the content will be recorded sessions you can watch on your own schedule, but each week has 2 live sessions, plus you’ll be paired up with a peer in the class to do some work together synthesizing the learning. You can see details on content, pricing, etc. here.

The program includes three assessments (with custom reports for you), 5 books, plus an hour one-on-one with us post bootcamp to help with application. I feel like now is a great time to put some focus on YOU. This past year you’ve been deftly maneuvering these rapids, but that left you no time to truly prepare yourself to deal with what’s coming. So take three weeks in June to get ready with us at our Bootcamp. You won’t have to travel or take multiple days off work, either. But you will build a solid launching pad for your success in 2021 and the years to come. Sign up today!
