Workcation vs Full Unplug – What’s Your Vacation Style?

April 5, 2021 Maddie Grant

Every Tuesday, PROPEL’s co-founder Maddie Grant joins QuestionPro’s Sanja Licina for some transparent conversation on topics surrounding work, life, culture, and the employee experience. Combining recent research on hot organizational topics and data from polls sent out to the viewers and survey participants around the country, Work @ Life provides a real perspective on what employees and leadership have to say. The best part? The conversation is streamed live so that YOU can join the discussion too.

Work @ Life live every Tuesday at 1 PM EST

Find it on Youtube, Facebook, and Periscope

Last week, Maddie and Sanja discussed vulnerability in the workplace and the interesting conundrum that the perception of vulnerability as a weakness is still very strong, even though 63% of their poll respondents (300 US workers) have shown vulnerability in the workplace, and 74% of those had a positive experience.  They recommended, of course, Brene Brown’s work on the subject.

Maddie and Sanja go live again tomorrow, April 6, to discuss vacation styles.  Do you take your laptop to the beach and basically “workcation”?  Or do you completely unplug?  If you’re a manager, do you expect your staff to be reachable even when they are off?  Do you lead by example and stay out of your email inbox? Join Maddie and Sanja for Work @ Life live tomorrow at 1pm EST to find out how others take work (or don’t) on vacation breaks?

Last week’s replay:

Tune in LIVE tomorrow at 1pm EST and join the conversation!
